The Indian Army held an Agniveer Recruitment Rally in the Ahmednagar district. This is the second rally organised by the Pune Recruitment office. The rally was organised at the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth at Rahuri.
As per the advertisement, there are 2800 vacancies (including a maximum 560 female only) will be earmarked in a state-wise manner.
On the heels of widespread protests by opposition political parties demanding a rollback of the Agnipath scheme, the Indian Metal And Ferro Alloys (IMFA) Limited has decided to give the young Agniveers a chance to work for them after completion of their tenure with defence forces.
The merits of having a young armed force and a cost-effective Armed Force have been deliberated for years and finally Agniveers have emerged.
“As a common citizen of India, I would like to say the ‘Agnipath’ scheme is a good one and the Central government has launched it with a good intention. All should cooperate with the Centre for proper and fruitful implementation of the scheme," said Sarangi.
