The Indian Army held an Agniveer Recruitment Rally in the Ahmednagar district. This is the second rally organised by the Pune Recruitment office. The rally was organised at the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth at Rahuri.

Security advisor to the Manipur government, Kuldiep Singh, said that during his four-day Manipur visit last week (May 29 to June 1), Home Minister Amit Shah had directed the state government to send a proposal to the MHA for a relief package for the displaced people.
A police official said on the condition of anonymity that the minor had already died in the borewell and when she was pulled out, her body was found decomposing.
The victim, Ranjan Kumar, was found unconscious when he was rescued and was taken to Sadar hospital Sasaram for treatment.
