The Indian Navy has invited online applications from unmarried male and female candidates (who fulfil eligibility conditions as laid down by the Government of India) for enrolment as Agniveer (SSR) for 1/2022 (Nov 22) batch.

As per the advertisement, there are 2800 vacancies (including a maximum 560 female only) will be earmarked in a state-wise manner.

The candidates can apply online on the official website of the Indian Navy from July 15 to July 22, 2022.

Details:

Educational Qualifications: Qualified in 10+2 exam with Maths and Physics and at least one of these subjects- Chemistry, Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Age: Candidates should be born between November 1 1999- April 30, 2005 (Both dates inclusive).

Terms and Conditions: The Agniveers shall be enrolled in the Indian Navy under the Navy Act 1957, for a period of four years. Agniveers would perform a distint rank in the Indian Navy, different from any other existing ranks. Indian Navy is not obliged to retain Agniveers beyond the engagement period of four years.

Training: Training for the course will commence in November 2022 at INS Chilika, Odisha.

Agniveers are liable to be discharged as ‘unsuitable’ due to unsatisfactory performance at anytime during the training or service tenure.
