Generally, the flights fly at more than 30,000 feet altitude. The tiny holes known as bleed holes are specially designed to maintain air pressure inside the cabin of the plane at the higher altitude.
The analysis of weather balloon observations alarmingly showed that the tropopause has increased in height at a steady pace since 1980: about 58-59 metres per decade.
