Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The auction for the cash-rich Indian Premier League Season 11 is over. As the new season takes centre stage, eight teams in fray will battle it out across from April, with hardly two months to go. Certain players were retained by their teams, while a major chunk were bought by other franchisees in the auctions 2018. Let's have a look at some interesting names who have the ability to win matches individually and play key roles toward the success of their team.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):

David Warner: Destructive opener and Skipper David Warner getting into form can be worse for any opposition. He will surely be looking to get back to form.

Shikhar Dhawan: He is in the best of his form, and he has rightly proved himself in the current series against the Proteas. Playing his innings with maturity alongside his skipper, he will have added responsibility to guide his team to a respectable total while batting first and chasing huge totals.

Kane Williamson: A key factor, the Kiwi-skipper brings a balance to the middle order. Kane will have to build partnerships with the other batsmen.

Manish Pandey: Finding a place in the Indian Squad, this lad from Karnataka is growing with confidence and will be an important factor to keep the scoreboard ticking at a quick pace. He has all shots in his book plus he is a live wire on the field.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mustafizur Rahman: Currently, two top class outstanding bowlers, the duo can be quite hot to handle with their well-disguised variation and swing. The eight overs between them will be very crucial.

Carlos Brathwaite: Key player if he provides the necessary fireworks displayed by him during World T20 finals. The big West-Indian will have a huge role to play as he can bowl a few overs as well.

Rashid Khan: Having started strong in his first IPL campaign last year, Rashid will be vital for restricting batsmen from freeing their arms during the powerplay and death overs. Plus his knack of picking wickets at crucial junctures of a T20 game becomes very vital.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB):

Virat Kohli: The just married handsomest guy in the Indian team, captain Virat Kohli is a delight to watch with the kind of form he is in. This Season 11 of the IPL, if he gets going, he will be unstoppable and a threat to all the opponents. His phenomenal form will add to Royal Challenger's chances this year to repay Season 10.

AB De Villiers: Mr.360, ABD is probably the best adaptive batsman in T20 cricket. Dangerous if he gets going this season.

Brendon McCullum: Arguably one of the most aggressive openers and the best of fielders, McCullum will look to continue what he is doing at the Big Bash League and other T20 tournaments.

Quinton De Kock: A new franchisee for De Kock this season, this aggressive opener and wicket keeper, will be depended upon to provide rollicking starts to an innings.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):

Sunil Narine: No batsmen has tried to experiment against this unpredictable bowler. Narine will be heavily relied for wickets and to keep the run-flow in control. Last season, he gave the best of starts with bat, and can be assured of good starts in Season 11 as well.

Andre Russell: This strong West Indian will be a crucial player for KKR with his bowling and ability to hit the white ball a long way.

Robin Uthappa: One player who has proved in all the seasons of IPL, this guy can open the innings as well play down the line. Alongside Narine, Uthappa will be heavily relied upon to provide a good start to the innings.

Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc: Franchisee's new addition. Two of Australi's deadly fast bowlers join KKR this season. The duo is expected to lead the bowling, and their form will be key for the Riders.

Rajasthan Royals (RR):

Ajinkya Rahane: A treat to watch, this Maharashtrian returns back to his side that gave him limelight and from where he started his career under the captaincy of Shane Warne and Rahul Dravid. Opening the innings, Rahane fits into the role perfectly, and can be an aggresive as well anchor an innings with other batsmen.

Jos Buttler : A power hitter and an active wicket-keeper, Buttler joins RR for the IPL Season 11 and will be looking to hit the ball in the stands with his strength. Dangerous if he clicks his form.

Ben Stokes: The big buy of last year, this all-rounder is a hard working sportsman. His all round effort, be it his batting, bowling or fielding, Ben is a big fish to watch out for in this season.

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP):

Chris Gayle: Gayle storm has shifted to Punjab now to do Balle Balle. The most aggressive batsman in this format, he is capable of single-handedly demolishing the opposition. If he gets going, beware if you are in opponents.

Ravi Ashwin: Might take over as the captain of the Punjab team, he is one of the best spinners India have. He will be leading the spin attack for Punjab this time.

David Miller: Retained again by the Kings XI, Miller will have to be at the top of his game. He has time and again proved his mettle, and this season expects a lot from this South African.

Akshar Patel: Axar, as he is known, will play the role of an all rounder in the squad where he can bat down the order, as well as tag along with lead spinner Ashwin.

Delhi Daredevils (DD):

Glenn Maxwell: Australia Maxi is under new franchisee this time. With his ability to turn the match around, if the Big Show of cricket gets going, going can get tough for any opposition.

Gautam Gambhir: Delhi have bought their old horse. The captain will lead from the front and is expected to score big this season.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK):

MS Dhoni : Donning a new jersey after eight straight years, Dhoni will be quintessential for Pune’s success this year. With all his experience added to his monstrous ability to wield the bat, the skipper will be looking to carry on his legacy from the Chennai Super Kings.

Murali Vijay: Vijay, despite his abilities in test, is a classy opener in the T20 as well and is expected to get Chennai off to a good start.

Harbhajan Singh: Joining Chennai for the 1st time after having played with Mumbai Indians for 10 seasons, Bhajji is the most experienced campaigner, where he can bat and bowl to take Whistle Podu to their third title win.

Mumbai Indians (MI):

Rohit Sharma: The Hitman Rohit, along with his captaincy duties, will be the key player and can take off to a flier in the powerplay overs. His ability to hit the ball a long way can leave any opponent in awe, and will surely be someone to look out for.

Jasprit Bumrah: The no.1 T20 bowler, will be under scanner once again as he is expected to lead the attack and can check the run flow. A specialist in death bowling, he will have to combine with other bowlers to stem the run-flow.

Kieron Pollard: This West Indian is a pure entertainer. He is one of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball, a great fielder and a useful bowler.
