Thunderstorm, Rainfall Warning For 14 Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar issued thunderstorm, lightning and  moderate rainfall warning for 14 districts of Odisha today.

As per the weather department, the warning has been issued for one or two places over the districts--Ganjam, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Angul, Dhenkanal, Bargarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Nayagarh, Khurda & Cuttack till 8: 30 PM today.

Weather department had predicted that rainfall will increase from July 24 due to the formation of a low pressure. This year, there has been 29 per cent less rainfall than normal. By the end of August, the deficit rainfall is expected to be compensated, informed Met office sources.
