Deogarh: Three persons, two home guards and driver of the force, were today arrested on charge of looting Rs 3.5 lakh from a person last night at a place under Riamal police station.

"The police have seized Rs 2.5 lakh from house of the driver Rajkishore Behera, while Rs 50,000 each are found in possession of the home guards Prasanna Dalbehera and Muna Pradhan," said sub-divisional police officer (SDPO), Deogarh, Brijesh K Ray.

The gang allegedly looted the cash from a man during patrolling last night and a case had been registred against their names at Riamal police station, he said. The three were sent to jail after being produced at a local court.
