Students, teachers mourn Pak massacre

Bhubaneswar: Shock and grief gripped the students and teachers across Odisha over the senseless terror attack on a military-run school at Peshawar in Pakistan claiming around 150 members of their community there.

Different schools throughout the State observed two minutes’ silence, held prayers and organized protests conveying their condolence for the victims of the carnage.

The students of ITS School in Kendrapara stood in silence and lit candles expressing their sorrow for the deceased and their families.

Similarly, students and teachers of Modern Public School and other schools of Balasore condemned the brutal attack and staged a silent protest tying black cloth on their face.

Students and teachers in Chinmay English Medium School in Rourkela and Sai International School in Bhubaneswar also observed two minutes’ silence to convey their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. They too protested peacefully expressing their dismay over the gruesome.
