Shocking! Odisha man 'attempts to rape' daughter, attacks wife for opposing

Sambalpur: In a shocking incident in Kuchinda of Sambalpur district today, a man allegedly tried to rape his own daughter and attacked his wife with a sharp weapon for opposing his advances. According to sources, the woman has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.

As per reports, the man tried to rape his own daughter but was opposed by his wife. Subsequently, he attacked his wife with a sharp weapon and fled from the spot.

"My husband tried to rape my daughter. He attacked me with a sharp weapon when I opposed him," the injured woman said.

"My father used to harass me every day and threatened to kill my mother if I did not pay heed to his demands," the girl said.

Kuchinda Police Station sub-inspector, Teresa Khes said "Police reached the spot after receiving information of an attack on a woman by her husband. We admitted the woman to the hospital in critical condition. Her husband is absconding and we have launched a manhunt to nab him."
