Bhubaneswar: Senior bureaucrat Satya Prakash Nanda today took oath as the chairman of the Orissa Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC). Governor M C Bhandare administred oath of the office and secrecy to Nanda, who was member of the Board of Revenue at Cuttack.

Nanda succeded B K Das whose tenure ended recently. Nanda, whose retirement from the government service was due in March 2012, had recently opted for voluntary retirement.

Among others, state energy minister A S Nayak attended the swearing-in ceremony.
