Bhubaneswar: After a two-day disruption, the rituals of Lord Shiva at Lingaraj Temple here resumed on Tuesday following a meeting of servitors with the temple administration on Monday.

The priests agreed to resume rituals from today after the temple administration took 15 days' time to settle the dispute over the conduct of Handi Bhanga Yatra.

Earlier on Monday, the irate servitors of the temple had staged a road blockade in front of the temple demanding early solution of the dispute.

Notably, Handi Bhanga Yatra of Lord Lingaraj could not be held this year due to a dispute between the Khuntia and Mallia servitors of Kapileswar temple. Following the dispute, the members of Bramhin Nijog and Pujapanda Nijog had halted the rituals at the Lingaraj temple for the past two days.
