Kulamani Baral Was Murdered For Highlighting PMAY Irregularities: BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi.

BJP supporters hit the streets in all blocks in Cuttack including Mahanga protesting the brutal murder of BJP leader Kulamani Baral and his associate Dibyasingh Baral. Demanding immediate arrest of those involved in the murder, BJP also demanded the removal of Law Minister Pratap Jena citing his alleged involvement in the murder.

The much-awaited COVID-19 vaccine is likely to reach Odisha by January 30, informed Health Minister Naba Das on Monday. Das said that as per the protocols the COVID warriors including frontline health workers including doctors will get the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in the State.

Odisha government will reopen the Universities and colleges from January 11 considering the improvement in the COVID-19 situation. Physical classes for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses will begin from January 11 with strict adherence to COVID-19.

The annual bird counting at Chilika Lake began today. The counting of migratory birds is being conducted in five ranges under the Chilika wildlife division including Tangi, Balugaon, Rambha, Satapada and Chilika. The counting will be conducted by 21 teams comprising 111 wildlife officials, experts, volunteers and environmentalists. While 19 out of the 21 teams will conduct the counting on land, two teams are deployed in the water bodies for the annual census.  

Cuttack Rural Police informed that 4 people have been detained, including the prime accused in connection with the brutal murder of Mahanga BJP leader Kulamani Baral and his associate Dibyasingh Baral.  

Syllabus has been reduced by 30% and it is currently at 70%. There are no plans of reducing it further. We have no information on COVID-19 test of students  

With the threat of a bird flu increasing across the country, at least 400 bird samples from Chilika were sent for examination today. Apart from this, poultry samples from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) have also been sent to the Animal Disease Research Institute at Phulnakhara for tests as a precautionary measure.
