Bhubaneswar: Chief minister and president of the Biju Janata dal, Naveen Pattanaik, who was nursing a ligament injury today greeted the newly elected councillors of his party at his residence and distributed sweets to mark the victory in the election for the Kendrapara municipality. The BJD won 13 wards in a municipality which has 21 seat. Naveen advised the councillors to work for the public in a transparent and honest manner.

Lok Sabha member Baijayanta Panda, cabinet minister Pratap Jena, local MLA Sipra Mallik and Ved Prakash Agrawal too were present during the meet. The unlucky candidates who could not win in the election also were present.
