Jajpur: A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped and the act filmed by two juveniles in Korei area of Jajpur district, police said on Monday.
According to the FIR filed by girl's father, the victim, a class X student, was returning home after attending tuition classes on August 11 afternoon when both the accused kidnapped her and took her to a secluded place near Ragadi forest and gang-raped her there, Superintendent of Police of Jajpur Deepak Kumar said.
Later, they took objectionable photographs of the girl and circulated the snaps through mobile phones. Some of his villagers saw the obscene MMS and informed him about it, he said.
The accused- Sourabha Ojha (17) of Ragadi village and Santosh Kumar Bhol (17) of Paramanandapur village were arrested on Saturday night after the girl's father lodged an FIR with the Korei police. They were sent to juvenile jail at Berhampur, police said.
Prior to police complaint, the girl's father brought the matter to the notice of the village committee for justice on Friday. But, when the village committee meet failed to resolve the issue, he moved to police.
"Initially, the matter was discussed in the village committee for an amicable settlement and the accused admitted to their crimes. But, it was not settled in the committee.
Being directed by the committee, the victim's father filed the FIR with the Korei police on Saturday," the SP added.
