Gunupur: The Gunupur ADJ Fast Track court today recorded the statement of Subhashree Dash alias Mili Panda, wife of top Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda, in the Kutinguda encounter case under Gudari police station. The legal counsel of the main accused Mili Panda argued that Mili Panda should be set free by the court without further delay as the police has failed to establish evidence in support of the case. The Fast Track court would deliver the final verdict in the case on April 10.
The statements of two witnesses were recorded in the final phase of the hearings in the ADJ court on Wednesday. Earlier 11 witnesses were cross-examined by the court.
Mili Panda was shifted to Gunupur jail from Jharpada jail in Bhubaneswar on October 21, 2011, in connection with the Kutinga encounter case under Gudari police station. The case was registered in 2003.
