Bhubaneswar:  The Maoists on Monday blew up a railway track in Sundargarh District twice during Maoist bandh.

According to sources, the rebels triggered a blast damaging a stretch of railway track between Renjeda and Roxy. Later they again blew up the same track while the repair works were taking place.

The repairing van of the railways was partially damaged in the second blast. Though no casualties or injured have been reported.

The goods train service which transports iron ore to the Rourkela Steel Plant has been suspended.

Buses between Rourkela and Jharkhand also went off the roads.

The bandh was declared by Jharkhand’s Chotanagpur division of the banned outfit.
