Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) new state president KV Singhdeo on Wednesday reiterated that there will be no alliance with either the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) or the Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM).
Addressing the media after arriving at the Biju Patnaik airport here, the four time Patnagarh legislator said, “Our party will not make any alliance neither with BJD nor with OJM. We’ll reach the people with our development agenda and face the ensuing elections on our own.”

Earlier, after his appointment as the state chief of the saffron party by BJP national president Rajnath Singh, the leader of BJP legislature party had said the BJP will contest the 2014 elections on its own strength and will not seek the support of the ruling BJD or the Odisha Jan Morcha in Odisha.

Singhdeo, who returned from New Delhi received a rousing welcome at the airport with hundreds of party supporters anxiously waiting to see their new party chief with bated breath. The leader from western Odisha was then taken in a rally to the BJP office where he was garlanded profusely by the enthusiastic workers.
