Bhubaneswar: Odisha school and mass education secretary Usha Padhee on Tuesday asked the director of Board of Secondary Education (BSE) to submit a detail report on yesterday’s bomb explosion incident in Ayatpur high school near Cuttack that left 22 students injured.

Meanwhile, school and mass education minister Rabi Narayan Nanda visited the school on Tuesday and enquired about the accident which created panic among the parents as well as the teachers.

Besides, a team of officials including Cuttack district education officer and the local Block Development Officer also reached the school this morning and interacted with the teachers and some students. Though the school was open today, it witnessed thin attendance due to yesterday's incident.

On the other hand, taking into consideration the samples collected by the scientific team which inspected the school yesterday, Police confirmed it as a case of bomb explosion.

Though, the headmistress of the school quoting some students on Monday said that the bomb was inside the bag of a student and it went off while he was taking out some notes from the bag, Police are yet to ascertain the facts.

Meanwhile all the injured students who were admitted in SCB and Kandarpur hospital yesterday have been released.
