Balasore: The fast unto death movement by the members of the Balasore Action Committe entered the third day today. The committe has been spearheading the movement for the establishment of a medical college and hospital in the town for the last seven years without any result. The commutte over the years pleaded before everybody, starting from the district collector to the president of India.
The members insist that as there was no government medical college and hospital in the entire northern Odisha, it would cater to the needs of lakhs of patients, especially the poor, of several districts. The members resorted to the extreme step since no amount of requests yeilded any result.
