Bhubaneswar/Balasore: Amid Odisha government's 5T crackdown, two officials, a district culture officer and an executive engineer have been caught in vigilance net over charges of amassing disproportionate assets in the State.

As per reports, a team of Vigilance conducted simultaneous raids at various locations including office and residence of Basant Panda, an Executive Engineer working with the drainage division in Balasore. Raids are underway at Panda's residence in Jail Road area in Balasore, his in-laws and ancestral house at Amarda road.

Though the exact figures of his assets has not been revealed yet, the vigilance team has reportedly assured to reveal it only after completion of the detailed investigation which included his bank passbooks, jewellery and lockers.

Similarly, a team of anti-corruption wing also raided the district culture officer of Dhenkanal, Sukru Swain on DA charges. Swain’s Dhenkanal office, government quarters in Bhubaneswar, ancestral house in Berhampur are being raided by the team.
