Bhubaneswar: In yet another chain-snatching incident, some bike-borne youths looted two persons, including an engineer on Sunday morning in the capital city.

In the first incident, three unidentified youths snatched ornaments from a woman at GGP Colony in Rasulgarh area after threatening her with a sharp weapon while she was on a morning walk.

A little later, the miscreants also robbed a retired engineer in same style from the same area here, reports added.

After the news spread, some locales caught hold of a chain-snatcher, a local vegetable seller, and handed him over to the Mancheswar police.

“I left home at around 4.30 am on a morning walk when three youths with came in a bike and asked me to hand over all ornaments I was wearing while putting a sharp weapon on my shoulder,” the retired engineer said.

Notably, some bike-borne youths had robbed three women and a local trader in the busy thoroughfares in the city last week bringing the Commissioonerate Police on their toes.
