Bhubaneswar is the capital of Odisha .It is the biggest city and the main power corridor of Odisha. The city is famous for its ancient rich heritage especially its historic monumental temples. It is popularly known as the temple city. Because many temples built from sandstone are dotted around Bindu Sagar Lake in the old city, including the 11th-century Hindu Lingaraja Temple.
According to Pujari, now the focus is on the rehabilitation of people and the process will start after conducting a survey today. Officers have been clearly instructed to ensure that the assessment is error-free.

As per the director of IMD’s regional centre in Bhubaneswar, Manorama Mohanty, several places in Odisha also recorded 100 mm of rainfall. Rajnagar, Marshaghai, Derabis in Kendrapara recorded 100 mm, 110mm, 120 mm of rainfall.
IMD Bhubaneswar centre’s director Manorama Mohanty today said that the cyclone Dana was severe cyclonic storm and hence the eye formation did not happen.
The system moved north-northwestwards with a speed of 10 kmph and is about 30 km northeast of Bhadrak and 50 km north-northwest of Dhamra.
As the severe cyclonic storm Dana has already made landfall, the Indian Railways today informed that apart from the cancelled trains (which were notified earlier), other trains will run as per schedule.
After reviewing the situation in Bhubaneswar, CM Mohan Majhi said that Cyclone Dana made landfall between Bhitarkanika and Dhamra from midnight. District Collectors have been directed to conduct damage assessment at the earliest.
