Bhubaneswar: In yet another instance of man-animal conflict, elephants trampled three to death at two separate places on Tuesday night. According to sources, a mother-son duo was killed in an elephant attack at Bijadiha village in Sundergarh district.

In another incident, a person was killed while returning to home at Mundali road under Banki police limits in Cuttack.

Earlier this year, one person was killed and a forest department driver injured when an elephant attacked them at Bainsingha village in Dhenkanal district. A team of officials sent from Nandankanan zoo later brought the animal under control by tranquilising it.

In June this year also a 40-year-old man was trampled to death by an elephant in Kalama village of Ganjam district.
