Bhubaneswar: At least two people were killed and 25 injured as a marriage party bus overturned near Rameswar square in Khurda on Wednesday.

According to sources, the bus carrying people for marriage party suddenly lost its balance over the flyover near Rameswar and fell off the bridge. The bus was returning after attending a marriage party in Puri, sources said.

People killed in the accident were identified as Nilu Patra and Sabitri Martha — who belong to Dandigadia village of Balugan and Tangi in Khurda.

Meanwhile, people who have received injuries have been admitted into Khurda’s  government hospital and five seriously injured have been sent to a private nursing home in Bhubaneswar.
