Berhampur: Barely a day after the Koraput police arrested two hardcore Maoists involved in MLA Jhina Hikaka abduction case, three Maoists have surrendered here before the Ganjam SP on Tuesday.

According to police, the Maoists including two women belong to Kandhamal district.

In contrast to the development some Maoist posters and banners urging people to observe December 2 as People's Liberation Guerrilla Army’s (PLGA) foundation day were found at Hatapada village under Guneipada panchayat in Koraput district on Tuesday. It has also been asked in the posters to release about three thousand innocent tribals imprisoned in different jails of Chhattisgarh.

Earlier on November 25, Koraput police nabbed two hardcore Maoists, Narayanpatna area commander Lingama and his aide Kamaya from Jaypore, who were involved in the abduction of MLA Jhina Hikaka on March 24 this year.
