Jeypore: Barely five days after the state police arrested four supporters of Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda, Koraput police on Sunday nabbed two hardcore Maoists, involved in the abduction of Laxmipur MLA Jhina Hikaka.

The two red rebels have been identified as Narayanpatna area commander Lingama and his aide Kamaya, police said. “The arrested two were involved in abduction of MLA Jhina Hikaka on March 24 this year,” said Koraput SP Abhinash Kumar.

According to police, Lingama and Kamaya were wanted in connection with murder cases of Bidut Bisoi and Jami Prasad Rao belonging to Narayanpatna and Palur respectively. Police have also seized arms and some Maoist materials from them.
