Cuttack: Two elderly persons purchasing vegetables from a kiosk were injured when bombs thrown at the kiosk owner went off at Dargha Bazaar here today.
The injured are now undergoing treatment at a city Hospital, police said.
Bombs were hurled at kiosk owner Dushmant Sahu from the roof of a neighbouring house, they said adding a case was registered and investigation into the incident was on. No arrest has been made till late on Thursday evening.
Police are yet to ascertain the motive behind the bomb attack but do not rule out old enmity.
7 injured in acid attack
Cuttack: At least seven persons of two families were injured in an acid attack incident following a fight over garbage dumping in Kanakpur village under Kanpur police station here today, police said.
The injured were out of danger and were undergoing treatment at a local hospital here, Cuttack rural SP Gurudas Kundu said, adding, though no one was arrested but two separate cases have been registered in this connection.
The families picked up quarrel early this morning over dumping of garbage following which the fight took place, they said.
