Puri: An 11-member forensic team of National Investigating Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrived here from Kolkata to probe into the series train fire incident.
The forensic team would examine the burnt bogies at the station to ascertain what chemical were used by the accused to burn the empty compartments.
The team, led by NIA SP Prashant Kumar, which held a high level close-door meeting at the circuit house, is scheduled to visit railway station for an on-the-spot investigation. The team is also scheduled to meet the State forensic officials who had conducted the polygraph test of the main accused Ramachandran Subash, sources said.
Subash had undergone polygraph test at state forensic laboratory on Monday during which confirmed that he had a link with the Pakistani terror group.
NIA has become more active after the lie detection of the prime accused, sources added.
During the test, Subhas had established terror links after his meeting with two youths— Riaz and Uttam— in Mumbai while the former was staying in the metro city few months ago.
Such shocking revelations have been made by Subhas during his lie detection, Government Railway Police (GRP) sources said after going through the test report which came out on Friday.
It was further revealed that Subhas was working as a low-paid employee in a hotel in Mumbai. During his short stint, he developed an affair with a girl to whom he had introduced himself as an engineer.
