Teenager murder accused awarded death penalty

Jajpur: An accused in murder of a minor girl in Nipania village under Tomaka police Station in Jajpur district was awarded death sentence by a local court here on Thursday.

Taking cognizance of 21 witnesses in the case, Jajpur additional district judge ordered punishment for Bana Bihari Behera who murdered a +2 student in presence of her mother in April last year. Behera committed the brutal crime after his love proposal was spurned by the girl.

Four days after the incident, police arrested him and produced before court.
