Kendrapara: After three months ban on entry, Bhitarkanika National Park in kendrapara district was kept opened for the visitors from today.
The forest department had imposed restriction on the entry of visitors into the internationally acclaimed wetland since May 1 to till July 31 due to nesting season of the endangered estuarine crocodile.
Bhitarkanika officials said, at least four fiber luxurious boats have been arranged this year to attract more visitors. In another attempt to lure the tourists, the government has kept the cost of the cottages unchanged.
Similarly, the canteen at Dangamala inside the park will provide food and drinks at an affordable price like earlier time. However, the price will be changed later, Kedar Kumar Swain, Rajnagar DFO, said.
