2 injured in firing near Sriya Talkies square

Bhubaneswar: Tension erupted near Sriya Talkies square in the State’s capital on Sunday evening following a firing incident at Press Colony injuring two youths.

Sources at police said the critically injured youths were admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

The sources added previous enmity is suspected to be the reason behind the firing. Brother of the miscreant who opened fire was arrested few years back. Therefore, police suspect past enmity could be the main reason as one of the injured is the complainant.

Anticipating further disturbances, local shopkeepers downed shutters.
