Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, Odisha reported 244 fresh Covid-19 infections taking the total positive tally to 3,32,106 on Monday. Of the fresh cases, 142 are from quarantine and 102 are local contact cases, informed the State I&PR Department.
None of the districts reported more than 50 cases. Sambalpur registered the highest number of 37 cases followed by Bargarh (23), Sundargarh (22), Bolangir, Jharsuguda and Gajapati (19 each) and Angul 15.

As per State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, the death toll jumped to 1892 with one more fatality in the last 24 hours. The single death was reported from Khordha district.
A total of 29,646 samples were tested in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tests to 72, 01,736 in Odisha. Odisha’s active caseload now stands at 2,118 while 3, 28,043 patients have so far recovered from the infection.
