SBI Life – the insurance company – has signed a three-year deal with the BCCI and their partnership will begin with the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, starting September 22, 2023.
There were also reports of a website named “viagogo” which showed sales of tickets for many matches, including for India-Pakistan match, at excess of 50 lakhs and beyond, prompting strong reaction from former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad.

Viacom18, a relative newcomer in the broadcasting world through its TV channel Sports18 and digital platform Jio Cinema, is also the holder of TV and digital rights to the Women’s Premier League (WPL) till 2027. It also has the rights to Cricket South Africa matches to be broadcasted in India from 2024-31.
It brings the combined rights value to INR 45 crores per game for a total of 88 matches, going down from the INR 60 crores per game paid by Disney Star in the previous cycle (where it won combined rights for INR 6138.1 crores for five years).
As per a report in Cricbuzz, the media rights auction is set to take place on August 31. It added that other entities such as Zee and FanCode along with two other multinational companies, Google and Amazon, did not participate in the technical rights bid held on Monday.
Earlier, the cricketers were asked by BCCI not to reveal their test scores from the yo-yo test. However, some of the cricketers did not oblige to the rule in place.
