Dacoits loot judge’s ancestral house

Jagatsinghpur: In another case of a judicial official being burgled, dacoits struck at the house of a judge in Kania village under Balikuda police limits in the district last night.

According to reports, a gang of robbers entered the ancestral house of Subodh Kanungo, judicial magistrate first-class (JMFC) of Bhawanipatna, yesterday and ran away with Rs 30,000 cash and 10 gm of gold jewellery.

The matter came to light when the family registered an FIR with Balikuda police. Following the complaint, the police visited the village and started investigation.

However, no one has been arrested so far in this connection, the reports added.
