Traffic hit as locals block NH-49 in Deogarh

Deogarh: Locals of Kuroda village have staged a road blockade on NH-49 presenting a four point charter of demands here in the district today.

According to reports, demands of the locals include widening of the National Highway passing through the area, probe into land acquisition irregularity, involvement of locals in land acquisition and development of Kuroda School and its playground.

Vehicular movement in the route remains disrupted as a number of vehicles are standing still due to the blockade.

Meanwhile, administrative officials have reached the spot and are discussing with the locals to resolve the issue.
