Bhubaneswar/ Cuttack: Five more persons tested positive for Swine Flu on Thursday taking the total number to 18 in the last three days in the Odisha.

Official sources said, a total of 10 samples were tested out of which five were tested positive for H1N1 virus.

State government on the other hand issued special guidelines for different hospitals to tackle cases of Swine Flu. The health department also issued dos and don'ts for general public and increased awareness drive to prevent the spread of Swine Flu.

Meanwhile, a special isolation ward to treat Swine Flu patients was set up at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack here today.

SCB Administrative Officer Pratap Mishra informed that an eight-bed special ward with two ventilator facilities has been made operational keeping in view the spurt in Swine Flu cases.

“Adequate measures have been taken by SCB for the treatment of swine flu cases at the dedicated ward with necessary doctors and para medical staff,” said Mishra.
