Rishi death case: HC orders Commissionerate Police to submit case diary

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today ordered the Commissionerate Police to submit case diary of the mysterious Rishi death case.

The court has instructed to submit the case diary within two weeks. The order came after a friend of Rishi approached the court over "inactiveness" of the police in connection with the case.

Rishi alias Asutosh Mohanty, B.Tech student of city based ITER College had died under mysterious circumstances at one of his relative’s house in Nuagaon under Dhauli police limits in Jagamara in May last year.

A human rights activist Akhand had also earlier approached the Orissa Human Rights Commission (OHRC) over Rishi's death alleging police inaction in the case.
