Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Director Genral of Police (DGP) Prakash Mishra has been appointed advisor to the Uttarakhand governor KK Paul.

Mishra will take charge tomorrow as advisor to the Governor of the state, which was brought under President’s rule on Sunday by the Centre on grounds of “breakdown of governance” in a controversial decision in the wake of a political crisis triggered by a rebellion in the ruling Congress.

Talking to OTV about the appointment, Mishra said, “It will be an important responsibility for me. I will try to deliver my best."

Mishra, a 1977-batch IPS officer from Odisha cadre, retired as Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) DG last month.
