Odia techie murder in Bengaluru: Police hunts down 1 accused after chase

Bengaluru: Police today arrested an accused in connection with the murder of Pranay Mishra, a 28-year-old Odia engineer in Bengaluru on Monday.

Acting on specific leads, a police team today spotted Kartik the prime accused and his friend, both involved in killing the engineer from Odisha.

During a chase, the accused duo fired at the police officials following which police retaliated.

Although police managed to catch Kartik, his accomplice gave police a slip. Two policemen also ended-up with minor injuries during the chase.

Pranay, a 28-year-old engineer working with IT major Accenture was stabbed multiple times early on Monday morning after his two wheeler scraped against another belonging to Kartik and his friend on the outskirts of the city.

Police later described the killing as a case of a road rage.
