Jeypore: The gang rape incident of Kunduli in Koraput district took a dramatic turn after a lady cop allegedly threatened the minor survivor to speak on the incident.
A mobile footage, the clip of which is with OTV, showed that a lady constable in-charge of security of the survivor at Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital threatened her to come up with the truth.
The conversation between the constable and survivor recorded on mobile phone as follows-
Survivor: Whatever I told is true. Why should I lie? What has happened to me is like loss of my self esteem and sanctity.
Constable: You are telling lies. Come up with the truth. The case came to the medical. Otherwise, I would thrash you so severely that you would have opened up everything before media.
Meanwhile, police released a juvenile suspect after conducting lie detection test on October 18. The minor suspect pleaded innocence in the case.
"They (police) have threatened to send me to jail by registering case against me. So, I was forced to lie. Later, I narrated my ordeal with police before our villagers," the minor boy said.
