Miscreants attack woman in Balasore

Balasore: A woman sustained critical injuries after she was allegedly attacked by some unidentified miscreants with sharp weapons at Pratappur village under Oupada police limits here on Monday night.

The injured woman identified as Ranjita Behera is now undergoing treatment at Soro Community Health Centre (CHC) with multiple injuries on her head and hand in the attack.

According to reports, she was alone when the miscreants forcibly entered the house and attacked her.

A few locals found Ranjita lying in a pool of blood and later rushed her to Soro CHC in 108 ambulance.

Though the exact reason behind the attack is still unclear, police have started investigation into the incident.

Sources said, Ranjita lives alone as her husband and son stay in Chennai.
