Major fire at petrol pump in Birmitrapur; locals evacuated

Birmitrapur: A major fire broke out at a petrol pump situated near Rani Sati Temple in Birmitrapur of Sundargarh district during the unloading of fuel from a tanker today.

Till last reports came in, three fire tending units have been deployed to douse the flames. People have been evacuated from nearby places as a safety precaution.

Police and administrative officials are also present at the spot and are closely monitoring the situation.
