Group clash in Cuttack: 25 more arrested

Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police today arrested 25 more people including 13 women for their alleged involvement in a group clash in Cuttack which left four, including two cops, injured.

After today's arrest, in total 52 persons have been held in connection with the disturbance.

Two groups of Sarvodayapur and Sweeper Colony yesterday fought a pitched battle on Rajabagicha-Khannagar road after an altercation over issues during Durga idol immersion. Bottles were hurled and stones pelted during the fight, injuring four.

Purighat police station IIC and Badambadi Police Station IIC were among the injured in the attack. Yesterday 25 persons from both the groups were arrested by the police.
