Complaint against BJD MLA for abusing ZP member's family

Bhubaneswar: BJD’s Lanjigarh MLA Balabhadra Majhi landed in trouble for allegedly abusing relatives of a Zilla Parishad member during a public meeting at his constituency.

Prafulla Majhi, husband of the Zilla Parishad (ZP) member Kalpana Majhi lodged a complaint against the MLA for abusing and making derogatory remarks against him and his wife.

In his complaint, Prafulla alleged that MLA Balabhadra Majhi also threatened Kalpana for life.

The incident reportedly occurred during a ground breaking ceremony of a project under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna under Lanjigarh block yesterday.

“The Zilla Parishad member had not come to the spot and it is a conspiracy by BJP,” said MLA Balabhadra Majhi.

The MLA further clarified that a few youths during the function had created ruckus and opposed me. I just tried to pacify them, he added.
