Bhubaneswar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials on Saturday are conducting raids at 50 locations linked with business operation of Artha Tatwa Group (AT) across Odisha in connection with multi-crore chit fund scam.

AT Group’s directors residences at several locations in the state and ancestral house of Pradip Sethy, CMD of the company, in Berhampur are part of the CBI raids.

In Bhubaneswar, the central probe agency conducted raids at Bishnupriya Apartment. A chartered firm in Kharavelanagar was also searched due to alleged link with the AT Group.

The office of Adilakshmi Construction Pvt Ltd in IRC Village here was part of the raids on charges of getting investment from the AT Group.

Sources said the raids were also conducted at other locations in Khurda, Balasore, Puri and Balasore towns.

Total 25 teams of CBI officials are part of the raids, they added.

Meanwhile, the probe agency also raided houses of BJD MLA Pravat Tripathy in Banki and Cuttack in connection with a chit fund scam, said sources.

Till the filing of this report, the raids were going on.
