BJP plans month long programme to strengthen base, Amit Shah’s tour in Sep
Bhubaneswar: BJP’s National President Amit Shah will be touring Odisha again in September as part of a wider strategy to strengthen party’s prospects here in the grassroots level.
Party sources said, Shah would be attending nearly 26 events in his three-day tour starting from September 6. Besides, a ‘blue print’ has also been made to expand BJP’s base by organising month long programmes starting from August 9.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, BJP’s Odisha in-charge, Arun Singh informed that it is a golden period as party leaders have secured top four positions –President, Vice President, Prime Minister and Lok Sabha speaker.
“The party, under the leadership of Narendra Modi is expanding its base and to take this forward we have planned special programmes from August 9 to 30,” said Singh.
BJP will pay obeisance to freedom fighters and martyrs across the country and Tiranga Yatra will be also be organised from August 10 to August 14, he said.
