2 Killed, 2 Injured in Multi-Truck Collision in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: Two persons, including a Home Guard, were killed and two others critically injured in a collision involving four trucks near Charampa railway over the bridge on NH-16 in Bhadrak district today.

The incident occurred during RTO checking at around 6.30 AM.

Sources said a speeding truck going towards Balasore from Cuttack hit the Home Guard who was trying to stop the vehicle for checking. Soon after, three other trucks hit each other from behind. The Home Guard along with a driver died on the spot.

While the identity of the two deceased is yet to be ascertained, the two injured have been admitted to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, traffic movement has been disrupted on the NH with several vehicles stranded on both sides of the road.
