Thane: A 52-year old woman was arrested for possessing and selling 15 kgs of charas worth around Rs 1.5 crore in the international market, police said today. The woman resides around the Khoja kabrastan locality in Thane and was caught selling charas in five packets, they said.

A local court remanded the woman to police custody till December 31, the police said adding that she had been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. According to police, her husband Abdul Shaikh was also in the same business and was arrested by the Mumbai police.
