The minimum (night) temperature in Odisha is likely to register a fall by 2 to 3 degree Celsius during the next 48 hours, predicted India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday.

As per IMD, cold wave conditions are likely to persist in some parts of the State from January 3 night. A yellow warning has also been issued for few districts in Odisha till January 5, 2022.

Keonjhar recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 9.6 degrees on Saturday night. The overall weather across the State will mostly remain dry while some parts will experience shallow to moderate fog, predicted IMD.

Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of south interior Odisha and Angul.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Cold wave condition is very likely to prevail over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh and Bolangir.
