The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted that the maximum (day) temperature in several parts of interior Odisha will remain above normal by 3 to 4 degree Celsius.

As per IMD, there will be no large change in maximum temperature during the next five days in the State. “Maximum temperature is very likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degree Celsius at few places over the districts of interior Odisha and also it will be more than 40 degrees at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha during next 4-5 days,” said IMD.

The weather agency has also advised people to take precautionary measures for hot weather while going outside during midday time (around 1200 IST-1500 IST in these areas).

On Monday, the highest maximum temperature of 42.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Bolangir.

Light to moderate Rain/Thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 06.04.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 07.04.2022)

Light to moderate Rain/ Thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada,Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Nayagarh.
